Juliane Rebekka Elsner has been studying mechanical engineering and industrial design as an undergraduate student at the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer from 2016–2020. During her studies she has had the opportunity to participate in the presented project of the Innovationsforum MSR. She recently graduated in 2020 and is now pursuing a master’s degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering specializing in Production Engineering.

Gerrit Jan (Gert) Veltink, born in 1964 in Rijswijk (Z-H), the Netherlands, is a Professor of Computer Science and Digital Media at the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leerin Germany since 2004. He is the Program Coordinator of the Master’s Program “Industrial Informatics” in Emden. Gert received his MSc. (1988)and his PhD (1995) in Computer Science from the University of Amsterdam. His research focus is software tools for formal specification languages in particular process algebras. Between 1993 and 2004 he gained industrial experience in software development with a number of companies in different fields: telecommunications software, software renovation (Y2K), production of object-oriented software libraries/components/frameworks, cross-media publishing and webanalytics.

Florbela Pires Fernandes is an integrated member of the CeDRI Research Centre. She has a PhD in Mathematics/Optimization. Her research area focuses on optimization, particularly, the development of algorithms to solve non-linear and non-convex problems with continuous or mixed integer variables. She has more than 30 scientific publications in books, scientific journals and proceedings and took part in Scientific Committees of several conferences. She is a research team member in more than eight research projects in the areas of digitization/factories of the future, robotics, optimization and innovative teaching tools. Since 1998, she has been a Professor at Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, and has taught Mathematics curricular units. She has participated in Scientific and Pedagogical Committees and in the Executive Board of Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão.

Dr. Freehais working in Warwick Manufacturing Group(WMG), Warwick UniversityUKas Senior Lecturer. She led the design and development ofDegree Apprenticeship in Digital Technology Solutions (DTS)and currently working as Course Directorfor DTS. She is Senior Fellowof UK Higher Education Academy (HEA) and has received WMG Star Awardand WMG Staff Recognition Awardfor Contribution to Education. Her subject research interests are cognitive radio and application of machine learning in wireless communication. Her Pedagogy research is about transforming the traditional classroom teaching by using Technology Enhanced Learning methods. Before joining WMG, she has done PhD in Engineering with specializationin wireless communication from University of Warwick and Masters in Computer Science from University of Leicester where she was given Best Student Awardand Best Project Award.
